Hey ya'll. I'm going to be home really quick this weekend for some family time and Down The Line time.....
....anyone want to journey to East Lansing on Sunday? DTL is playing there at their Art Festival at 2:30 PM....thought it might be cool to go see their short set and roam around the art fest, maybe get some dinner after?

Today, Delilah found an empty tissue box.
Then, Delilah stuck her head in the tissue box.
After that, Delilah ran around the apartment before sitting in a corner and moving her box-head all around, confused and meowing.
Meredith laughed.
And laughed.
And laughed some more.
Before removing the box from baby kitty's head.
Kitties are silly..

Let's go Dawgs! So proud of the boys for winning the 2007 Great Alaska Shoot-Out. It was glorious seeing them defeat Texas Tech. for the Championship!

04:19 pm - I Go to a lot of Concerts.......
.....but there really is nothing like seeing Brandi Carlile live. I met a new friend last night who had never seen Brandi live. He asked me why it was so much better than CD. I explained my thoughts, then the concert happened. His face just lit up in amazement through the whole show. It's amazing to see an artist have the same affect on someone as they do with me.
If you have free time tonight, go see her at St. Andrew's Hall in Detroit. There really is nothing like her- I don't think I could compare her to anyone else. Which is a good thing.

I hate weekends full of school work and cleaning. Especially when not all of it gets done in a whole weekend. Barf.
So on top of all of that, I open my blinds yesterday and notice a package sitting on my front porch chair. Who knows how long it's been there, but I've been waiting for it for at least a week, if not two.
It contained Brandi Carlile posters from Aware Music, promoting her show that is THIS COMING SATURDAY.
Wellll, with a haircut after school on Monday, CPR class after school on Tuesday (missing Suneeta's class AGAIN), Lab class after school on Wednesday, and parent/teacher conferences until 8PM on Thursday........I only had today to get posters out.
They gave me 30 posters and I now have 14 left. Ahhhh.
Just keep swimming, just keep swimming.
Can't wait for that concert on Saturday, though. Brandi brings it live like no other. Also, after that's Jordan's housewarming party, which will also be a-mazing.
This week is going to be NUTS. Next week is going to be kind of nuts.
But then........I MIGHT BE COMING HOME!!!!!!!!!!! MEANING, MICHIGAN! THE MITTEN STATE! JIFFY MIX NATION! :)
As long as I don't have to work the weekend of the 20th, I'll be home that Thursday, and until Sunday. With Delilah kitty. :) Raul Midon (we saw him in Canada) is playing at Borders, and Kate DiCamillo will be at Borders, too. She's my students' fave. author, and they'll go nuts if I come in with her autograph that next Monday. :)
Also, isn't that a Haunted Trail weekend? Yes? No? Lemme know.
Off to write letters, then bedtime. I very much wish that today would pause and this week would not start so soon. :(
But.....haircut tomorrow! I might have a "New Jan Brady" experience....if I'm brave. (No fro, don't worry)
